Our Research Procedures

All the documents from the checklist (see step 3 below) should be sent to dayle.roberts@manchester.ac.uk. To ensure a valid application please send an electronic copy of the completed NRES application form and NRES Site-Specific form. We cannot proceed without these 2 documents.

On receipt of the NRES forms the ReGrouP central office will send out the study to the relevant PCTs for local review. The local review process is undertaken to assess any service impact and local issues unknown to the ReGrouP office/NRES. These review outcomes will be returned to the central office within 21 working days. Once all the essential documents on the checklist have been received and we have the decision from the PCT, the researcher will be notified. We aim to do this within 28 working days.

Approval cannot be given without receipt of the essential documents on the checklist.

Please note we have a charge for commercial research. This is £750 initially and £150 for each additional PCT involved.

The ReGrouP central office must be notified of all amendments. Dissemination of research findings is important and all researchers are required to submit an annual progress report and an end of study declaration to the REC and the ReGrouP office.

Please find enclosed Resource pack which will guide you through the process Researchers Application Pack
